Who We Are

Himalayan House (HH) is a non-profit organization based in Leh, Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 3,420 meters above sea level, at the historic crossroads of High Asia, HH serves as a centre for learning, research, cultural exchange, and dialogue.

Dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Buddhism, literature, education, art, culture, and environmental sustainability, HH brings together scholars, researchers, students, practitioners, artists, and members of civil society from around the world. Through interdisciplinary programs and collaborative initiatives, it fosters knowledge exchange, encourages intercultural understanding, and supports the preservation of the Himalayan region's rich cultural and intellectual heritage.

In addition, HH designs and implements projects related to Buddhism, the environment, Himalayan history, art, and cultural heritage.
